Internal Medicine

Internal medicine deals with the functions, structure and diseases of internal organs—such as the liver (hepatology), digestive system (gastroenterology) and respiratory system (pulmonology), the cardiovascular system (cardiology), metabolism and hormones (endocrinology), blood and blood-forming organs (hematology), kidneys and urinary tract (nephrology), as well as infectious diseases (infectious diseases) and the immune system (immunology).

Laboratory values and ultrasound diagnostics play a crucial role. However, as in all of internal medicine, the most important first step is a detailed conversation with the patient—your medical history (anamnesis).

As a specialist in internal medicine, I focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions affecting these organ systems.
